Shaheen Lakhani, is a lens-based visual artist based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She observes her surroundings through quiet attention to the everyday. Captivated by subtle shifts in light, gesture, rhythm and form, her work explores the tracing of connection and the intimacy of shared experience. Following a career as a clinical psychologist, Lakhani studied photography in New York City (2023-24), transitioning into her current practice.

Her images have been selected for the 2024 and 2025 Annual Winter Solstice Members Exhibitions at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Massachusetts; for the 2024 online LensCulture Emerging Talent Competition Gallery Editors’ Picks and for the Summer 2025 The Curated Fridge exhibition, juried by Karen Haas, the Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

In April 2026, Lakhani’s interview with photographer Grey Crawford, “the shape of time: grey crawford’s baltz series and his visual language across five decades of change” was published by the online contemporary photography magazine, see-zeen (issue #19).
